West Lake Park, situated in the northwest of Fuzhou in Hubin Lu, is famed for its similarity to West Lake in Hangzhou. It has been a tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The caring and taming of the giant panda here ranks among the best in the nation. After patient experimenting and training the beast here is made to accept a series of ecological, biological and bio-chemical tests without compulsion or anesthetics.
