The Apenheul Monkey Reserve is a nature reserve located in Apeldoorn. It is a very high quality nature reserve, which gives the animals good living conditions and a lot of freedom. The reserve includes gorillas which are kept on their own wooded islands away from the other animals, as well as monkeys, otters, deer, and capybara. The best time to visit is in the mornings, as the animals are at their most lively before the afternoon when the temperature starts to heat up.

The Dolphinarium is one of the biggest marine parks in Europe, and houses a wide variety of marine life, including walruses, sea lions, and dolphins. There are several different shows running throughout the day, where dolphins and other animals perform spectacular tricks with their trainers, and areas where visitors can get up close to the animals, and even touch some of them. There is also a small beach area for visitors to relax between shows.

Royal Stables

Royal Stables, Koninklijk Park 1, Apeldoorn - Netherlands

The Royal Stables are a part of the Paleis Het Loo. They date back to 1906, and are now used to display a number of cars and carriages used by monarchs of the past. One of the most interesting items on display is an old baby carriage that has been rigged up to protect the baby in the event of a gas attack. The stables are located on the grounds of the old palace, which has not been used by the royal family since 1975.
