The Albuquerque Biological Park is the Albuquerque Aquarium, Rio Grande Botanic Garden, Rio Grande Zoo and Tingley Beach.  Our mission is to provide the public with exciting recreational opportunities and to foster environmental awareness, education and stewardship. 

With our mission in mind, the BioPark's Education staff has identified Climate Change as a focus for a number of educational programs, events and outreach this spring and summer. Does planting a tree or garden affect the climate? Does riding a bike or bus? What are the effects of recycling and water conservation? The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a yearly gathering of hot air balloon enthusiasts from around the world, occurring in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, during the first two weeks of October. The event, the largest of its kind in the world, lasts ten days and includes a fleet of nearly 750 hot air balloons with pilots from throughout the United States and the world.

Native Americans in the United States are the indigenous peoples from the regions of North America now encompassed by the continental United States, including parts of Alaska. They comprise a large number of distinct tribes, states, and ethnic groups, many of which are still enduring as political communities. There is controversy surrounding the names used: they are also known as American Indians, Indians, Amerindians, Amerinds, or Indigenous, Aboriginal or Original Americans. In Canada they are known as First Nations peoples.

Not all Native Americans come from the contiguous U.S. Some come from Alaska, Hawaii and other insular regions. These other indigenous peoples, including Alaskan Native groups such as the Inupiaq, Yupik Eskimos, and Aleuts, are not always counted as Native Americans, although Census 2000 demographics listed "American Indian and Alaskan Native" collectively. Native Hawaiians (also known as Kanaka Māoli and Kanaka ʻOiwi) and various other Pacific Islander American peoples, such as the Chamorros (Chamoru), can also be considered Native American, but it is not common to use such a designation.

The New Mexico State Fair is an annual state fair held for 17 days in September at Expo New Mexico (formerly the New Mexico State Fairgrounds) in the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A. The event features concerts, competitions, rodeos, carnival rides, games, farm animals, horses, agriculture and art.

Old Town is a historic district in Albuquerque, New Mexico, dating back to the founding of the city by the Spanish in 1706. Today it is a popular shopping and tourist destination. Old Town comprises about ten blocks of historic adobe buildings grouped around a central plaza (a common feature of Spanish colonial towns). Many of the buildings in Old Town are houses that have been converted into restaurants and small art and souvenir shops. On the north side of the Plaza is San Felipe de Neri Church, the oldest building in the city, which was built in 1793. The Albuquerque Museum, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, National Atomic Museum, and ¡Explora! Science Center and Children's Museum are located just to the east of Old Town. Old Town did not become a part of the City of Albuquerque ("New Town") until the 1940s.

The Albuquerque Museum operates guided walking tours of Old Town. Around Christmas, thousands of luminarias line the streets and walkways.
