Disneyland

Disneyland is a theme park that is located at 1313 South Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim, California, USA. It opened on July 17, 1955. The park is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company.

The park consists of various areas with separate themes:

Main Street USA, an early 20th century Midwest town

Adventureland, featuring jungle adventures
Frontierland, illustrating western frontier
Fantasyland, bringing to life fantasy
Tomorrowland, looking into the future.

Three additional areas were added to these original park areas later: New Orleans Square, Mickey's Toontown, and Critter Country. An elevated berm supports a three-foot (narrow) gauge railroad which circumnavigates the park. Disneyland features rides and attractions designed to appeal to all ages.

The park has been visited by more than 515 million guests since it opened to the public, including presidents, royalty, and other heads of state. Famously, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev was not one of these visitors, as security could not be established for him to visit during his U.S. tour in 1959, for which he publicly complained.

Anaheim Convention Center

Anaheim Convention Center is a major convention center in Anaheim, California. It is located across from the Disneyland Resort on Katella Avenue. Much of the Anaheim Convention Center has been renovated in recent years with state-of-the-art facilities.

The popular Anime Expo is held here very often, and is one of the convention center's biggest events of the year. In 2005 and again in 2007, Blizzcon has also been featured (the latter showing selling out in 3 days).

The center has also been a sports venue. It was home to the Anaheim Amigos American Basketball Association team. It also served as the venue for men's wrestling for the 1984 Summer Olympics.

During the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, the Los Angeles Clippers were forced to move Game 4 of their NBA playoff series versus the Utah Jazz to the Convention Center.

It hosts the Big West Conference's mens and womens basketball tournaments.

It is currently home to the Anaheim Arsenal of the NBA Development League.
